What We Are Looking For
Be a UK citizen, Citizen of the Commonwealth with your own indefinite leave to remain (not through marriage) or EEA citizen. Have a valid and in date passport, with no restrictions on your stay in the UK. Please note visas in out-of-date passports cannot be accepted as proof of Right to Work in the UK. A Biometric card alongside a current in-date passport must be provided. Have continuously resided in the UK for the past 3 years. Applicants must not have spent more than 3 months overseas at any one time during the previous 5 years. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and applicants must be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, complete employer referencing for the previous 5 years, and vetting to the level of Counter Terrorist Checked (CTC) if offered a role. Job Objectives And Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for this position will hold accreditation to the 18th Edition of the New Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) as updated in January 2019 by the IET, or suitable cross-industry qualifications such as Level 3 Electrical Engineering skills meeting maintenance processes required for Fire, Security, and electro-mechanical systems for gate and pedestrian controls. They should possess relevant experience in providing electrical maintenance services within a large and complex environment. Basic to intermediate IT skills are necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with some experience updating systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to take notes. The candidate should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and have a substantial practical background in building services disciplines (heating, hot water, ventilation, refrigeration, environmental systems, electrical power and distribution, and public health). The candidate must be a team player, flexible within contracted hours, with a positive, proactive attitude, high moral standards and integrity. Full training will be provided where applicable, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds including veterans and those seeking a career change.
