Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UK's market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be delivering exceptional grounds maintenance and winter services for our clients' sites.

Main duties and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Grass and hedge cutting
  • Border maintenance
  • Clearing leaves
  • Spraying
  • Litter picking
  • Using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery to ensure all sites and external areas are maintained to a high standard

You will need to deliver additional services during the winter, such as gritting, clearing snow and installing Christmas trees. Additionally, you will report to management with relevant information regarding site hazards, operate a range of vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with health and safety procedures, and undertake additional training as and when required.

To succeed in this role, you must be passionate about working outdoors and be prepared to work across agile and flexible environments, as well as possessing a good understanding of smartphone technology. Previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not necessary, as is a PAI & PA6 spraying license. A full driving license is also preferable as some roles require use of company vehicles.
