Mitie is recruiting Security Officers to support our Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) security team across several sites in the region. Where you'll work

This mobile regional role covers a group of DWP sites across North Lincolnshire, the Humber area and the Lincolnshire Coast.

DWP Regional Coverage Area

East Yorkshire: Barton Upon Humber, Immingham, Grimsby. Lincolnshire Coast: Skegness and Louth.

Travel expectation

The successful applicant will need to be flexible and confident travelling between DWP sites across the locations listed.

What you'll do

• Help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for DWP colleagues, visitors and property.
• Carry out regular patrols and routine security checks to identify and manage potential risks.
• Respond professionally and effectively to emergencies, incidents or suspicious activity.
• Provide a high standard of customer service, offering reassurance and support where required.
• Liaise with emergency services, local law enforcement and the Mitie Communication Centre when needed.
• Complete accurate notebook entries and incident reports following any incident or security concern.
• Follow Mitie and DWP policies, procedures and site instructions at all times.

What we're looking for

• Previous security experience.
• A valid SIA licence; Door Supervisor licence preferred.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• A professional, calm and confident approach when dealing with incidents or challenging situations.
• Good communication skills and a strong customer service mindset.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and doing the right thing.
