The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.
The role requires working as part of a Team of Hosts responsible for maintaining all external areas, mainly service yards and external welcome halls to a high standard. Close co‑operation with others is essential, as is the ability to work responsibly as an individual to complete tasks. Daily and weekly tasks are assigned to meet scheduled requirements and client expectations. You will be the visible face of Bluewater, providing guests with excellent service to ensure an enjoyable visit. Must hold a valid driving licence.
Main Duties
- Maintain a friendly, helpful, courteous and professional manner with all guests, clients, and management at all times.
- Deliver and maintain a high standard of grounds / car park care and cleaning services.
- Manage traffic within the car park / external areas during busy periods.
- Assist in the removal of pallets, cages and other removable items from site.
- Clean, replenish and monitor the external areas of the centre as assigned by a Team Leader.
- Periodically deep clean areas of the external areas of the centre as assigned by a Team Leader.
- Program excess charges and ensure they are accurately logged and accountable for audit purposes.
- Attend to reactive jobs logged in the helpdesk, communicated via radio devices or PDAs.
- Participate in ensuring the centre is a safe and non‑threatening environment for all guests.
- Provide a polite, effective and consistent service to all guests across the entire range of services provided at the centre.
- Communicate relevant information to guests on a regular basis.
- Comply with health and safety at work requirements, fire regulations, COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
- Assist in ensuring that Health & Safety is not compromised by reporting accidents, near misses, unsafe working environments or behaviour to your team leader / manager / control.
- Participate in complying with environmental procedures and sustainability, and biodiversity.
- Comply with the centre emergency procedures.

Essential
- Knowledge: Relevant job experience, preferably in an external retail environment.
- Experience: Ability to follow processes and work independently for periods of time.
- Personal Skills: Empathy toward guests. Excellent communicator. Good team worker. Strong customer service ethic. Flexibility in working approach. Sound interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Good command of English. Valid UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Knowledge: Good working knowledge of traffic management. Health and safety training and understanding of the principles.
- Experience: Ability to follow processes and work independently for periods of time.
