Job Overview
Protect the customer’s property, people, and assets by delivering security services in accordance with the site’s Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any subsequent changes. Achieve or exceed key performance indicators and service level agreements through full responsibility and accountability, thereby assisting in the retention of the contract. Undergo additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
- Responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of security.
- First point of contact for the security team, addressing day‑to‑day matters such as dress standards, discipline, and conduct.
- Assist in ongoing training of resident security teams and ensure all new officers are fully trained and inducted to site procedures and policies, including CCTV, access control, deliveries, removals, fire alarms, and intruder alarms.
- Develop teamwork within the workforce, ensuring high morale through effective motivational methods.
- Assist in reviewing security officers’ performance and development.
- Assist with security/equipment investigations (e.g., thefts, missing items, complaints).
- Provide customer/client liaison as required.
- Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to by security and shipping personnel.
- Ensure important messages are conveyed in the security handover and that all personnel read and acknowledge them.
- Ensure security records and logs are kept up to date.
- Ensure the security team complies with all relevant data protection legislation.
