Mitie has a great opportunity for Security Officers to join the Total Security Management Team. The Security Officers will be based at one of our prestigious sites in Glasgow (Clyde Place Glasgow).

Work Pattern: Shift pattern: 4 On 4 Off Night shift. Extra shifts available on 4 days off.

Main Duties:

  • Conduct external patrolling during each shift.
  • Be aware of access control procedures and handle deliveries to the estate.
  • Record issues on the online portal and report to the Site Security Manager.
  • Remain vigilant, report and record all suspicious or potential criminal activity, and retain control until emergency services arrive.
  • Demonstrate character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable when welcoming clients and customers.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers and clients and maintain geographical awareness of the local surroundings.
  • Report to the Security Manager and record, report, and escalate all incidents.

Qualifications / Person Specification:

  • Door Supervisor Licence essential.
  • 5 years of work history vetting essential before starting the position.
  • Available to work days and weekends as required.
  • CV with up-to-date 5-year work history to be submitted with application.
  • Must be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude and able to work on own initiative.
  • Corporate security experience preferred.
  • Flexible approach to work to suit business needs.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate an online portal and use basic IT equipment.
  • Ability to go above and beyond to support the client and visitors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Understand Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
