What You'll Be Doing

  • Learning all aspects of painting and decorating across a variety of environments
  • Preparing surfaces for work
  • Using a range of tools, materials and equipment safely
  • Assisting with painting, wallpapering and finishing tasks
  • Learning decorating techniques and industry standards
  • Supporting decorators on live projects and maintenance works
  • Following health & safety procedures and safe working practices
  • Maintaining clean and organised working areas
  • Developing an understanding of colour matching, finishes and materials
  • Attending college as part of your apprenticeship and completing coursework
  • Building confidence working independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
