Food & Beverage Assistant role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services
Location: St George\βs University of London Hospital, Blackshaw Road, Tooting, London, Greater London, England, SW17 0QT. Contract: 12 month fixed term. Type: Part Time. Shift: Evenings, Monday β Friday, 3hrs/2.5hrs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including setting up furniture, trolleys and cleaning equipment, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery and other catering equipment.
- Daily cleaning of all catering areas; participate in additional training as required.
- Cash handling and banking; maintain records and procedures; undertake key holding responsibilities.
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate regularly with customers, managers and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Previous catering experience in a similar environment is desirable.
- Basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health and Safety certificates are desirable, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Adequate numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation; ability to work well independently and as part of a team; adaptable, detail-oriented and willing to take on different tasks.
- Hardworking, confident, with excellent organisational and time management abilities.
