Roles And Responsibilities
- Reading project specific consultant specification.
- Reading and reviewing project specific drawings, documents, and proposals.
- Applying fire alarm and gas suppression knowledge to design systems.
- The production of 3D models and ongoing co‑ordination with the client and other trades during the development of the contract design.
- Being in contact with suppliers to ensure you are up to date with the latest market developments and products.
- Maybe required to travel abroad for client meetings.
- Liaising with clients.
- Attending online and in person meetings.
- Dialogue with project and sales teams.
- Internal handover meetings upon project award.
Essential Skills
- Understanding of Fire Alarm and Gas Suppression related standards BS5839, BS6266, BS7273, BSEN15004 etc.
- Use of AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks for 2D and 3D design work.
- Qualifications in industry standard and products would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in the fire alarm industry.
- Understanding of the commercial implications of what you are designing.
- A can‑do hands‑on attitude.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly approach.
