We are recruiting for a standout opportunity for an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to take full ownership of engineering services at a high-profile, multi-floor corporate headquarters in London Bridge.

This is a senior leadership role where you'll lead from the front—driving performance, establishing credibility, and shaping the future of engineering delivery on a flagship site.

The Role

  • As Engineering Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all building engineering and property maintenance operations, ensuring exceptional service standards in a prestige environment.

You Will

  • Lead and manage a multi-skilled on-site engineering team (including engineers, fabric staff, and an apprentice) operating across a 7-day rota.
  • Take full ownership of engineering operations, service delivery, and performance on site.
  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Drive KPI performance, WIP control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the key operational interface with the client, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Lead on health & safety, risk management, and incident response across all engineering activities.
  • Manage budgets, costs, and commercial controls, ensuring transparency and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident, experienced leader who can step in and make an immediate impact:

Essential

  • Proven experience managing engineering or building operations in a complex commercial or corporate environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of PPM, reactive maintenance, compliance, and H&S.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing capability.
  • Engineering background (HV knowledge highly advantageous).
  • Track record of delivering KPIs and improving performance.

Desirable

  • Experience within integrated FM or contracted services environments.
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and asset management tools.
  • Relevant engineering or facilities management qualifications.
