Pay Rate: £31,300.00 per annum rising to £32,600.00 from 1st April 2026.
Hours: 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends), average 42 hours per week plus overtime opportunities.
Overview
This Emergency Response Team role is a multi-skilled position combining security, fire response, and first aid responsibilities. It offers specialist emergency response training, recognised qualifications, and development opportunities across security, fire and rescue sectors.
Training
- Exceptional Training – Provided by Mitie. Successful applicants will complete a full training package funded by Mitie.
- Training includes:
- First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) – 5 days
- Medical Gases (Oxygen and Entonox) – 2 days (or integrated within FREC 3)
- Basic Fire Training – 2 days
- Breathing Apparatus Training – 5 days
From day one, you will be part of a professional response team equipped with the knowledge and confidence to handle critical incidents and protect people, property, and the environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide a visible and proactive security presence
- Respond quickly and effectively to fires, first aid incidents, and environmental emergencies
- Maintain and inspect emergency equipment to operational standards
- Conduct internal and external patrols, searches, and incident reporting
- Support compliance with health, safety, and security policies
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking motivated, professional individuals who are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Valid SIA front line licence (fully funded)
- Ability to pass a medical and fitness test (including suitability for breathing apparatus)
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Willingness to work shifts including days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to pass security vetting and random drug/alcohol testing
- Basic/intermediate IT skills
Desirable
- FREC 3 medical qualification (if already held)
Note: due to breathing apparatus requirements, candidates must remain clean-shaven or maintain a tightly trimmed goatee-style beard to ensure equipment compatibility.
