About The Company: Forest, part of Mitie, is a market-leading refrigeration contractor in the foodservice and retail sector. We offer job stability through blue‑chip, long‑term contracts and are seeking experienced Commercial Refrigeration Engineers.

Role: We need a Mobile Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to work across foodservice, hospitality, and retail, maintaining and repairing chilled and frozen display and storage assets for blue‑chip clients. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety and high‑quality commercial equipment. Applicants must live in a postcode that begins with EH or KY to be considered.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective breakdown repairs
  • Ensure all work meets industry regulations and internal safety standards
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams regarding work completed and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in an on‑call rota as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must hold a current, valid F‑Gas Certificate (applicants without this will not be considered)
  • The ideal applicant will possess 10+ years experience working in the commercial refrigeration sector, specifically within restaurants and hospitality environments
  • Strong understanding of commercial refrigeration systems in the foodservice/retail sector
  • Professional, reliable, and capable of high performance, even during peak summer periods
  • Full UK driving licence
