Job Responsibilities:
- Protect property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with Assignment Instructions (AI) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) through full responsibility and accountability.
- Assume responsibility for the successful execution of tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
- Anticipate, review, and adapt to changes in Assignment Instructions and propose amendments to improve the level of service.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, legal, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Follow instruction and procedure without unnecessarily challenging authority, and work in a systematic, methodical manner.
Training & Development:
- Complete all required competency training and continually undertake additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through ongoing professional development.
- Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce the risk of disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and involve others when a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents to support the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are conducted at the allocated time slot as per the Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Qualifications:
- Previous security experience.
- Current SIA licence.
- SC clearance desirable.
- Ability to obtain and wear a front-line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and CCTV PSS SIA licence as required.
