At Mitie, we are looking for a Lifecycle Manager who will lead the strategic planning, funding, delivery, and handover of lifecycle works and asset management activities across a Defence Private Finance Initiative (PFI) portfolio. This role ensures the long‑term performance, safety, and value‑for‑money of critical infrastructure through robust lifecycle planning, funding negotiation with the SPV, diligent execution of works, and accurate asset record‑keeping.
Role Responsibilities
- Compile the lifecycle plan by analysing asset condition data, historical spend and forecasted maintenance needs to build a 5‑ to 25‑year plan.
- Incorporate risk assessments, regulatory changes and Defence‑specific operational requirements into lifecycle planning.
- Monitor plan performance through KPIs such as spend vs. budget, schedule adherence and quality metrics.
- Oversee all phases of project delivery – from tendering and procurement to on‑site execution and close‑out – ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and Defence safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ experience in lifecycle planning, asset management or project management within PFI/PPP or Defence environments.
- Proven track record of securing capital funding and delivering medium‑large infrastructure projects.
- Sound understanding of HSE regulations, Defence technical standards and FM best practices.
