Control Room Operator / Night Control Room Support Officer

About The Role
We\’re looking for an organised and proactive Control Room Operator to join our security team at Mitie Business Services. In this role, you\’ll be part of a supportive team monitoring CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire panels, and other protective systems across multiple locations in the EMEA–APAC region.
You\’ll act as a first line of response for local, regional, and global incidents, helping to protect staff, buildings, and assets while ensuring that all operations run smoothly during out-of-business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV, access control, building management systems, and other security systems
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations, escalating as required
- Administer access control passes and carry out routine operational tasks
- Support office-based clients in matters relating to security and safety
- Gather, assess, and distribute intelligence and incident information
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, Assignment Instructions, and Emergency Procedures
- Produce accurate incident and operational reports
- Act as the first point of contact for crisis or incident management outside business hours
- Support corporate travel-related intelligence and incident response
What We\’re Looking For
- Prior experience in a control room or security environment
- Global time zone experience
- Valid CCTV licence
- Strong awareness of Private Security Industry law, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and emergency procedures
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond quickly to incidents
- Strong communication and customer service skills
