Salary: £13.85 / hour

Hours: 12 hours / day

Shift Pattern: 7 am to 7 pm, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Permanent

Role Overview

In your new role as Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead the cleaning and waste team within a warehouse environment. Duties include supervising equipment operation, inspecting machinery, managing hazardous chemicals, ensuring health and safety standards, liaising with the Site Manager, monitoring waste, maintaining equipment cleanliness, handling ad‑hoc duties, customer complaints, and attending training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Carry out daily and weekly machinery checks and report faults.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety guidelines and chemical handling procedures.
  • Coordinate shift operations with the Site Manager.
  • Monitor waste production using checklists and monitoring procedures.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and secure storage.
  • Handle customer complaints and conduct ad‑hoc cleaning tasks.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated on statutory fire and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Previous supervisor experience, strong customer focus, effective prioritisation, organisational skills, initiative, and awareness of health and safety legislation.

Communicative English is essential; an English language assessment may be required.

Completion of Basic Disclosure (DBS) and drug/alcohol screening is required.
