Overview
Better places, thriving communities. Job Title: Cleaning Operative. Pay: £12.21 per hour. Contract Type: Permanent. Type of Employment: Part Time. Hours: 10 hours per week. Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday – Morning hours to be negotiated. Location: Tarmac Newark, Hawton Lane, Newark-on-Trent, Newark, NG24 3BU.
In your new role you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. You will build knowledge of the designated cleaning area, understand when the work needs to be carried out and use all cleaning equipment and chemicals following Health and Safety requirements. You will undertake all required training to deliver the cleaning role. You will work within a team and can also work under your own initiative. You will build positive and productive working relationships with customers, deliver excellent customer service and seek ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure cleaning equipment is clean, maintained and safe to use; meet all agreed SLAs.
- Understand the designated cleaning area, scheduling, and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with Health and Safety requirements.
- Complete required training to perform the cleaning role.
- Work collaboratively within a team and show initiative when appropriate.
- Build positive and productive relationships with customers and deliver excellent customer service; look for continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and read basic English.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
- Flexible approach to the role.
- Open, honest, self-driven and determined; reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
