Role: Area Relief Retail Security Officer

Are you an experienced Security Officer looking for a role that offers variety, flexibility and the opportunity to work across a wider area?

We are looking for a reliable and professional Area Relief Security Officer to support our retail locations across the Gloucestershire cluster, including Gloucester and Cirencester.

This is a varied role where you will be expected to travel between different areas within the cluster, providing professional security support where required and becoming a trusted member of the wider regional team.

About The Role

As an Area Relief Officer, you won't be permanently based at one location. You will work across multiple locations within the Gloucestershire cluster, providing reliable security cover and supporting different teams depending on operational requirements.

You may be required to work across Gloucester, Cirencester and surrounding areas, so the ability and willingness to travel throughout the cluster is an essential part of the position.

This role would suit an officer who enjoys variety, is comfortable adapting to different sites and takes pride in being someone the wider team can rely upon.

Your Responsibilities

• Providing a visible and professional security presence
• Supporting multiple retail locations across the Gloucestershire area
• Travelling between different locations when required
• Preventing and deterring theft and criminal activity
• Responding professionally to incidents
• Supporting store management and colleagues
• Completing accurate incident reports and documentation
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Adapting quickly to different sites, teams and working environments
• Providing reliable relief and operational support across the cluster

• Confident working across different locations
• Comfortable travelling throughout the Gloucestershire cluster
• Professional when dealing with customers, colleagues and management
• Previous Retail Security Experience Is Desirable
• OWN VEHICLE ESSENTIAL
• Due to the area-based nature of this position, access to your own reliable car is ESSENTIAL.
• The successful candidate will need to travel between multiple locations across the Gloucestershire cluster, including Gloucester, Cirencester and surrounding areas.
• You must be comfortable travelling between locations as required by the operation.
• Applicants without access to their own vehicle will not be considered.
