As a Field-based CCTV Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering installation and commissioning works across a range of client sites nationwide. The role involves system installation, commissioning, and client handover.
Responsibilities
- Complete CCTV installations in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
- Carry out full system commissioning and ensure successful handover to the client
- Attend sites to finalise installation works and complete commissioning activities
- Work collaboratively with other engineers on full CCTV installations when required
- Install standalone CCTV systems for a range of clients
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other stakeholders
- Travel nationally to customer sites and remain flexible with overnight stays
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and site access requirements
- Maintain accurate installation, commissioning, and handover documentation
Who We’re Looking For
- Demonstrable experience working as a CCTV Engineer or within a similar security systems role
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV systems, including installation and commissioning
- Experience working in commercial or retail environments is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and stay away from home when required
- Full UK driving licence
- ECS card (essential for access to construction sites)
- IPAF licence (desirable); training can be provided for the right candidate
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Professional, customer-focused approach with strong communication skills
- Organised and capable of managing workloads to meet project deadlines
