We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You'll ensure effective delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works, ensuring compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- You will carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of Fire alarms, CCTV, Access control, and Intruder alarm/associated equipment and products to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards, alongside appropriate documentation and records.
- You should have excellent communication skills and basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
- You should be capable of working to high levels of Health and Safety Requirements and have previous experience in a similar role carrying out PPM, reactive calls, and Small Works in the Fire & Security Systems industry.
- Service test and inspection experience to the relevant standards/codes are also expected, including fault-finding techniques.
- You will also be expected to actively attend and participate in any company-initiated training to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technical aspects of the role.
- The ideal candidate would have previous experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, or RAMS, alongside following Health and Safety Legislation, preferably in the engineering field.
- Sharing technical and problem-solving abilities and knowledge with colleagues alongside an ability to take initiative and work with little supervision is also ideal.

- Service test and inspection experience to relevant standards and codes, including fault-finding techniques.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and RAMS.
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
