Store Protection Officer – Waitrose, Buxton
40 hrs/week

Job Overview
Retail Security Officer role to protect the Waitrose store, its people, and/or assets by providing security and excellent customer service through Mitie and Waitrose key values.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with policies, legal & regulatory requirements.
- Engage with National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management, using technology (body cam, mobile devices).
- Complete site tasks as defined within Assignment Instructions.
- Refer to and review Assignment Instructions for improvements.
- Maintain front‑line licence and attend required courses.
- Work systematically and methodically.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives.
- Report incidents accurately and promptly.
- Maintain professional conduct, keep to schedules, and facilitate check calls.
- Call emergency services & Communication Centre for incidents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous security experience.
- SIA Licence.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Energy and enthusiasm.
Training & Development
- Complete competency training and ongoing professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Health & Safety
- Report any health & safety hazards.
- Respond to threats and changes in environment.
- Maintain professional conduct with challenging customers.
- Keep accurate notebook entries for incidents.
- Adhere to schedules and check calls as per Assignment Instructions.
