Job Overview
Protect customer property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes. Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, maintaining full responsibility and accountability to aid contract retention. Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
- Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Full and satisfactory completion of all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- Proactively review and remain familiar with any changes to the Assignment Instructions, suggesting amendments that improve the level of service.
- Maintain compliance with industry and statutory legislation, including the requirement to hold a front‑line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) worn at all times with a CCTV PSS SIA Licence.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way.
Training
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training directed by the Security Account Manager to ensure continuous self-development.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Immediately report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others when a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries promptly after any incident for use in the Incident Report process.
- Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are made at the allocated times as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
