Our client is looking for a reliable Building Porter/Handyman to keep their corporate office running efficiently. You’ll handle minor repairs, routine inspections, and support office events and set‑ups. Safety and compliance are key, as is maintaining a clean, professional environment and delivering strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, painting, and basic carpentry work.
- Assist with setting up and arranging furniture and equipment for office events, meetings, and conferences.
- Handle basic plumbing and electrical tasks under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Respond promptly to employee requests and facility‑related emergencies, providing timely solutions and excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with the facilities management team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties, including the proper use and maintenance of equipment and personal protective gear.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory levels, and work orders using designated software or documentation systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry systems; ability to operate common hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
