Security CCTV controller in Bristol

Immediate start date – once cleared screening.

Role: CCTV control room operator.

Duties:

• Actively monitoring CCTV systems, patrolling, and assisting with general control room and security team duties.

Shift pattern: 0700‑1900 / 1900‑0700, 4 on/4 off; 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off.

Requirements: DS/SG badge and in‑date CCTV PSS badge.

Location: Aviva Lake View – Bristol.

Hourly Rate: £16.57.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly professional and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our client’s people, property, and critical assets. The role is pivotal in ensuring integrity, safety, and continuity of operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and corporate standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain vigilance over the work environment to identify potential threats, disruptions, or breaches.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, escalating to appropriate authorities or teams as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports, supporting robust governance and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate composure and professionalism when handling challenging situations, ensuring the protection of people, assets, and data.
• Adhere to scheduled check‑ins and communication protocols to maintain operational integrity.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, legal, and regulatory requirements, under the guidance of the Corporate Security Managers.
• Execute duties with diligence and professionalism, adhering to Assignment Instructions (AIs) and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
• Monitor operational processes and proactively suggest improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to statutory and organisational Health & Safety regulations, reporting any potential risks immediately.

Training & Professional Development:

• Maintain all required licences and certifications, including Security Guarding, Door Supervision, and CCTV PSS SIA, ensuring they are always current.
• Complete all mandatory competency and compliance training to the highest standard.
• Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance job knowledge and operational expertise.
• Utilise technology effectively to achieve work objectives and maintain accurate records.

• Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of the role and a curiosity about the environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrate a sense of pride in appearance.
• Proven experience within the security sector, ideally within corporate or financial services environments.
