Job Overview

Provide security and excellent customer service at Waitrose stores, protecting the store, its people, and assets while upholding Mitie and Waitrose values.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Engage with National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management, using technology such as body‑worn cameras and incident reporting devices.
  • Carry out tasks and duties as defined in the Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and suggest improvements where appropriate.
  • Operate a front‑line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision and maintain all required training and certifications.
  • Monitor for, report and mitigate health & safety hazards and potential threats.
  • Maintain professional conduct with customers and complete detailed incident reports promptly.
  • Adhere to scheduled checks and call emergency services when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous security experience.
  • Current SIA Licence.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a proactive attitude.

Training and Development

  • Complete all required competency training and ongoing professional development courses.
  • Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
  • Utilise technology to achieve key objectives and improve job knowledge.
