- Job Overview
- Protect the Waitrose store, its people, and assets by providing security and excellent customer service.
- Deliver the key values of Mitie and Waitrose using all technology provided and following ASCONE guidance.
- Participate in comprehensive training, including MAYBO, SIA licence renewal, and ongoing competency development.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and relevant UK law.
- Engage with the National Operations Centre (NOC) and use body‑worn camera and mobile devices for incident reporting.
- Complete tasks and duties as defined in the published Assignment Instructions.
- Monitor the site for health and safety hazards and report incidents promptly.
- Maintain professional conduct with customers and colleagues at all times.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Adhere to scheduled check calls and duty times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous security experience.
- Active SIA licence.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
- Training & Development
- Complete all required competency training.
- Continue self‑development under the guidance of the Security Account Manager.
- Self‑renew licence at least 16 weeks before expiry.
- Security & Health & Safety
- Identify and report health and safety hazards immediately.
- Maintain awareness of potential threats and respond appropriately.
- Use common sense and initiative in threatening situations.
- Keep accurate incident notes for the Incident Report process.
- Demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client by keeping to schedules.
