As the Remedials Project Engineer within our Service Department, you will be assisting with managing a selection of service remedial works on fire protection systems projects based nationally.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and Site Managers/Supervisors
- Assisting with the procurement of labour, equipment and fabrication
- Assisting with the cost control of contracts/projects
- Maintaining compliance of projects with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments
- Ensuring all documentation is completed and kept up to date
- Preparing cost estimates, quotations and technical submissions
- Providing technical support and guidance to field engineers and installers
- Managing project documentation including RAMS, permits and completion certificates
- Resolving technical issues and escalating where necessary
Essential Skills
- Experience of commercial sprinkler installations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of sprinkler related standards (BS EN12845, LPC Rules & BS9990)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work well using own initiative as well as within a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desirable Skills
- CSCS/CCNSG Card
- LPCB Design qualification
