Role Overview

Mobile Air Conditioning / Multi‑Skilled Engineer supporting the SWR rail contract across London and the Southwest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on air conditioning, mechanical, electrical and building fabric systems.
  • Maintain, repair and fault‑find AC systems including split systems, VRV/VRF and heat pumps.
  • Carry out installations, upgrades and minor modifications where required.
  • Ensure all work complies with current legislation, safety standards and company procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and contractors to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Accurately complete electronic job records, reports, RAMS and compliance documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying improvements to equipment performance, reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service and proactively identify maintenance or H&S concerns.
  • Participate in the on‑call rota for emergency works.

Working Pattern & Flexibility

  • Core hours: 08:00 – 17:00
  • Flexible working arrangements where operationally possible
  • Shared on‑call standby rota

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience in commercial maintenance or facilities management
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Digital job management capability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Customer‑focused, professional manner

Role‑specific Qualifications

  • Air Conditioning / HVAC NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration
  • F‑Gas Certification
  • Electrical (if applicable) NVQ Level 3 or Electrical Apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)
