About Us
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Wireman/Fitter to join our team, working on various substations mainly within the NGED region.
As an experienced Wireman/Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out wiring, fitting, and earthing works on NGED substations
- Be willing to undertake relevant training to achieve relevant authorisations to enable you to hold and manage Permit to Work (PTW) and Limitation of Access (LOA) systems
- Work safely and efficiently, adhering to substation policies and procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements
- Experience working as a Wireman/Fitter
- Proven experience working on electrical substations
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, fitting, and earthing practices
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
Desirable Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification
- SSSTS (Site Safety Training Scheme) certification
- IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification
- Telehandler operator training certification
- First Aid at Work certification
