Retail Security Officer – Lidl – Bromsgrove
Pay rate: £13.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours a week over 5 days
Location: Lidl – Bromsgrove
Mitie is looking for Retail Security Officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.
Objectives & Responsibilities
- Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the client’s and the company’s quality procedures.
- Follow the site-specific risk assessments ensuring all activities are completed safely.
- Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients.
- Create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers.
- Provide a polite greeting and excellent customer service.
- Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers.
Main Duties
- Deliver industry leading customer service.
- Be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform.
- Deter violence and public order offences.
- Conduct patrols of the store.
- Utilise CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
- Liaise with the store management teams.
- Report incidents and crime through leading technology.
- Liaise with the police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store.
- Wear body worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience of delivering customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable communication style to meet needs of different people groups.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving services business.
- Capability in the use of technology.
- Good attention to detail.
- High level of enthusiasm and passion.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential.
