Overview
Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services. Work within custody suites delivering healthcare to detainees, in partnership with the Police. Mitie offers a dynamic career pathway with extensive training, progression opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Deliver healthcare in custody suites, collaborating with the Police to ensure detainees receive appropriate care.
- Provide round the clock healthcare coverage in custody settings, working a schedule agreed with the client.
- Be flexible to work across an assigned region within Police Custody Suites and Force area in addition to your base custody suite.
- Participate in training; no prior forensic experience required as full training will be provided.
Requirements
- RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration: 2 years post qualification experience; Band 5 minimum
- Paramedic: 2 years post qualification
- Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a patient facing role within a relevant field such as General Practice, A and E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service
- Driving Licence (required)
- Right to Work in the UK; Lived in the UK with British Passport or ILR for 3 years; no gaps out of the country more than 3 months
- Police Vetting
Salary and shifts
- Salary: £41,000 per year
- Full-time role with fixed shift pattern: 4 shifts on, 4 days off (6:45 to 19:00 for two days), followed by 2 night shifts (18:45 to 07:00). Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
- Average overtime: £3,500 per annum
- NMC/HCPC Registration paid
