The Role
As the BIM Technician, you will join our busy BIM Team to support the BIM Manager with BIM coordination and producing CAD designs for complex fire, life safety, electronic security systems, and network infrastructure.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Producing and amending CAD Designs, Constructions, and As Fitted models using Revit and AutoCAD software
- Creating take-offs from models and presenting this within an Excel spreadsheet
- Designing life safety and security systems (with guidance from Design Engineers)
- Creating schematics and electrical wiring diagrams as needed (with guidance from Design Engineers)
- Exporting DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally
- Participating in the continuous improvement of company systems
- Providing reports to your Line Manager
- Producing clash detection reports
- Attending weekly BIM coordination meetings and addressing any issues
- Maintaining weekly model uploads for the active project
Note: The jobholder may be required to perform other duties as necessary, within their capability and consistent with their role\’s responsibilities.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- Experience with Revit & AutoCAD
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Trustworthy with confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desirable:
- Experience in related fields
- Experience with AutoDesk Construction Cloud
- Experience with Revit MEP
- Proficiency in a European language (optional)
