Overview:
A Global Collections Manager oversees the accounts receivable, develops strategies to minimize bad debt, optimize cash flow across regions, and ensure compliance regarding regulations. Managing their team remotely, negotiating settlements and payment plans, managing third-party collection agencies, and reporting on the global portfolio performance.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing global collections strategies to improve cash flow, reduce aged receivables, and optimizing the "order-to-cash" cycle.
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring a geographically dispersed team of collectors and specialists to hit performance targets, such as reducing DSO and bad debt expense.
- Partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success departments to resolve complex, high-value billing disputes and negotiate repayment terms with direct and indirect customers worldwide.
- Analyzing and presenting global AR aging reports, payment trends, AFDA analysis and cash flow forecasts to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or 3 to 5+ years of work experience in international credit or collections.
- Experience in managing a diverse team, preferably a global remote team.
