Job Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Routine Maintenance & Repairs: General repairs to fixtures and fittings, including door closers, locks, hinges, windows, furniture, and replacement of carpet tiles.
  • Minor Trades Tasks: Basic plumbing (leaks, taps), electrical tasks, and painting/decorating.
  • Facilities Inspections: Regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, damage, or safety hazards.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Maintenance of building services and equipment, including HVAC and point‑of‑use hot water systems.
  • Grounds Upkeep: Maintenance of external areas, including basic gardening and snow removal.
  • Porterage & Setup: Moving furniture, setting up meeting or event spaces, and handling deliveries.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all work meets health, safety, and environmental regulations, including COSHH. Knowledge of electrical safety, working at height, manual handling, permits to work, and ability to read and understand RAMS.
  • Administration: Completion of work orders, maintenance logs, reporting. Previous use of a CMMS / CAFM system is required.
