The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded UK HR Business Partner to work closely with leaders and managers across our UK business. This is a broad and influential role that combines strategic HR partnership with confident, hands-on operational delivery. You will help leaders translate business priorities into effective people plans while providing expert support across employee relations, organisational change, workforce planning, talent, performance, reward, engagement and culture. You will be a trusted adviser who understands the importance of practical, timely and legally informed HR support. You will also bring the confidence to challenge constructively, identify people-related risks and help leaders make balanced, consistent decisions.
What you will do
- Partner with senior leaders and managers to understand business priorities and develop practical people solutions;
- Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters and coach managers through sensitive situations;
- Support organisational change, including restructures, workforce planning, communication and employee consultation;
- Contribute to talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development and capability building;
- Help leaders strengthen performance, accountability, engagement and employee experience;
- Use people data and HR insight to identify trends, inform decisions and measure impact;
- Advise on reward, recognition and compensation matters within established policy and governance;
- Work with Talent Acquisition and other HR specialist teams to deliver joined-up people solutions;
- Ensure people decisions and processes are consistent with UK employment law, company policy and HR good practice;
- Lead or contribute to HR projects and continuous-improvement initiatives.
What you will bring
- Strong experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Adviser or similar generalist HR role;
- Applied knowledge of UK employment law and significant experience of employee relations case management;
- A track record of building credible relationships with senior leaders and operational managers;
- Experience supporting change, restructuring or employee consultation;
- Strong influencing, coaching and communication skills;
- The ability to move comfortably between strategic priorities and detailed operational delivery;
- Sound judgement and a pragmatic, commercially aware approach;
- Confidence using people data and HR metrics to support decision-making;
- A full CIPD qualification, Member-level accreditation or equivalent professional HR knowledge and experience;
- Experience in a matrix, international or operational environment would be advantageous.
