Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Routine Maintenance & Repairs: General repairs to fixtures and fittings, including door closers, locks, hinges, windows, furniture, and replacement of carpet tiles.
- Minor Trades Tasks: Basic plumbing (leaks, taps), electrical tasks, and painting/decorating.
- Facilities Inspections: Regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, damage, or safety hazards.
- Preventative Maintenance: Maintenance of building services and equipment, including HVAC and point-of-use hot water systems.
- Grounds Upkeep: Maintenance of external areas, including basic gardening and snow removal.
- Porterage & Setup: Moving furniture, setting up meeting or event spaces, and handling deliveries.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all work meets health, safety, and environmental regulations, including COSHH. Knowledge of electrical safety, working at height, manual handling, permits to work, and the ability to read and understand RAMS.
- Administration: Completion of work orders, maintenance logs, and reporting. Previous use of a CMMS / CAFM system is required.
