We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our awardâwinning Business Change and Technology Team on a 6 month fixedâterm contract. Reporting in to the Lead Business Analyst you will be responsible for gathering and mapping all business processes to identify interdependencies and build an overall picture of the business. You will be a point of contact within Mitchellâs and Butlerâs for all business process or technical work that impacts on these areas. This role will involve a mixture of office and home working, with our Head Office based in Birmingham City Centre.

What youâll be doing as Business Analyst:
- Become the custodian of knowledge and the main point of contact within MAB.
- Analyse the existing processes in depth, to understand fully the endâtoâend processes involved and any interdependencies.
- Build relationships with the process owner in each functional area to ensure involvement in relevant discussions and work.
- Ensure business requests are incorporated into the demand pipeline.
- Influence and capture all business processes and requirements.
- Lead business process review and requirements gathering workshops.
- Determine a process to ensure that all requirements for change from each area are captured and documented in the relevant project document template.
- Through understanding of the process, determine where improvements can be made.
- Work with each functional area to determine whether there is a demand for the improvement, and whether change can be supported.
- Understand and build experience of other endâtoâend processes to identify crossâover and dependencies.
- Lead visioning and solutioning with the Architecture team, to help shape and clarify current and future initiatives.
- Document, assess business benefit, agree with the business, prioritise, and cost.
- Use standard documentation to capture business requirements and ensure that they are suitable via standard communications routes.
- Use benefits analysis, discussions and understanding of affected processes to enable prioritisation of changes if necessary.
- Ensure that owners understand the final requirements and agree, with reasons for prioritisation, where necessary.
- Through knowledge of process, determine risk, benefit, timescales and potential cost of work that has been identified.
What youâll need to bring to this Business Analyst role:
- Experience of managing business change projects across multiple functions and stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years industry experience with demonstrable success in implementing process change projects.
- Experience in assessing and evaluating processes with strong competence in technical analysis and complex problem solving.
- Demonstrable understanding of technical aspects of IT and ability to apply this to business situations.
- Experience of systems and processes within the hospitality or retail sector.
- Full understanding of the product development change lifecycle.
- Working awareness of ITIL v3.
- Working awareness of Microsoft Technologies.
- Working awareness of Agile project methodologies.
- Strong organisational, planning and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong senior stakeholder and multiple party management and consulting skills.
- Effective facilitator and influencer.
- Be a selfâstarter with tenacity, drive, initiative, creativity and a âcan doâ attitude.
- Ability to cope with fastâpaced environments and multiple demands.
- Ability to simplify complex challenges to stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness.
Qualification required:
- Degree educated or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a similar environment.
- Experience in process management and improvement techniques (e.g. Six Sigma/Lean).
- Scrum Alliance certification (CSPO, CSM) or similar.
