Hello! We are Mitchells & Butlers – a big player in the UK hospitality game. Across the UK we have over 1,750 pubs, restaurants and bars across 18 brands. Brands include All Bar One, Miller & Carter and Toby Carvery.
We set the industry standard for guest service and great food & drink, and our Finance team is a key part of our success. Our financial management helps ensure business stability and growth, enabling us to welcome guests through our doors for years to come.

Finance Graduate Scheme Overview
Our 3-year scheme develops you into a rounded Finance professional with a comprehensive understanding of M&B. You will pursue a professional accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA) and undertake placements supporting brand-aligned Finance teams, Pricing, Financial Accounts, Property, Procurement and Guest Insights.
Placement Structure
- Pub, Bar or Restaurant placements (Weeks 2 to 3)
- Various short placements within the M&B Finance function (Month 2 to 12)
- End of year review (Months 13)
- Placements within the wider organisation and further Finance function placements (Month 13 to 25)
- End of year review (Month 26)
- Further placements within the Finance functions tailored to your interests (Month 26 to 36)
You will be supported by a line manager, placement manager, and a graduate buddy. Development workshops throughout the scheme focus on improving your skills and leadership capabilities.

Eligibility
- Must have or be on track to achieve at least a 2:1 degree
- ABB grades at A level or above (equivalent BTEC)
- Role primarily based at Birmingham Head Office; must live within commutable distance
