Overview
Finance Graduate scheme at Mitchells & Butler plc. A 3-year program to develop you into a rounded Finance professional with placements across brand finance teams, pricing, financial accounts, property, procurement and guest insights. We support a professional accounting qualification of your choice (CIMA or ACCA).
What we’re looking for
Ambitious graduates with a thirst for knowledge, drive and determination. The scheme is hard work but rewarding. If you see yourself as a future leader in hospitality, this is the opportunity for you.
Programme structure and placements
- Pub, Bar or Restaurant placements (Weeks 2 to 3)
- Various short placements throughout the M&B Finance function (Month 2 to 12)
- End of year review (Months 13)
- Placements within the wider organisation and further Finance function placements (Month 13 to 25)
- End of year review (Month 26)
- Further placements within the Finance functions tailored to your interests (Month 26 to 36)
You will be supported by a line manager, a placement manager, and a graduate buddy, plus development workshops throughout the scheme focused on enhancing your skills and leadership capabilities.

Eligibility
- On track to achieve at least a 2:1 degree
- ABB grades at A level or above (equivalent BTEC)
- Based at Birmingham Head Office; must live within commutable distance
