Are you a Building Surveyor with proven experience in Building and Facilities? If so, we have a great 12-month Fixed Term opportunity for you. Joining a well-established internal team of building professionals, you will be aligned to a geographic portfolio of our pubs and restaurants, undertaking the responsibility for the delivery of all building surveying and maintenance, operational standards projects, and statutory inspection services focusing on regulation, cost management, data management and delivery. Our much-loved pubs and restaurants stretch across the UK and the geographical patch aligned to this opportunity covers: South Wales with Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bristol included. You will need to reside close to the areas mentioned and have a driving license, as it’s vital for you to be mobile and flexible, in order to reach your sites on both a regular and re-active basis.

The Opportunity – Area Building Manager
- Being a building custodian, responsible for the safe maintenance of c85 company property assets.
- Accountable for the management and control of the area revenue and capital budgets (c£5m).
- Responsible for all building maintenance data accuracy and completeness across all internal systems.
- Utilising strong interpersonal skills and an uncompromising attitude to Health and Safety.
- Respond pro-actively to maintenance problems and manage relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll need to bring to the Area Building Manager role:
- Solid and proven experience delivering in a building surveying role.
- Strong ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent or competing demands.
- Experience working in a large multi-layered organisation, highly desirable.
- Knowledge of operating in the Retail and Licensed field, highly desirable.
- Chartered CIOB, CABE or RICS professional, highly desirable.
