We have an exciting opportunity for two Oracle HCM Support Analysts to join our award-winning IT Team or a permanent basis. Reporting into the Application Support Manager you will be responsible for the development & maintenance of Oracle Fusion HCM. Collaborating with HR, IT & Business Stakeholders to understand and address user needs and requirements. We have two UK payrolls for a 50,000-headcount organisation.
This role will involve a mixture of office and home working, with our Head Office based in Birmingham City Centre.

What you will do as Oracle HCM Support Analyst
- Collaborate with HR, IT teams & Business Stakeholders to understand and address user needs and requirements.
- Report Development & Maintenance
- Developing and maintaining approval workflows within Oracle Fusion HCM modules including 2 UK payrolls for a 50,000 headcount organisation.
- Assist in the implementation and integration of new features and functionalities.
- Document and communicate system changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate and relevant documentation relating to all technology support processes and cross training others within the support team. Including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
- Monitoring and optimizing the performance of reporting solutions, troubleshooting issues and resolving data extraction problems.
- Provide technical and functional support for the Oracle Fusion HCM modules (Core HR, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, Absence management & UK Payroll) including modifying payroll fast formula and absence plans.
- Supporting, maintaining, and exploiting the software platform, ensuring that necessary bug fixes, enhancements, upgrades and infrastructure are fit for purpose and able to meet business requirements and for applications to be efficient and effective.
- Owning and managing the configuration of the applications, with a detailed understanding of how the configurations support the business processes.
- Raise, manage and complete Oracle SRs.
- Create and manage system administration processes and procedures including program scheduling
- Create and maintain Oracle security roles, access and privilege configuration
- Owner of Oracle configuration releases, release management and change auditing
- Environment management including, patch management, licence review, testing & clone scheduling.
- Responsible for impact assessing Oracle’s quarterly releases, working with stakeholders to identify areas of change that require regression testing within the Oracle HCM modules
- Responsible for Oracle environment system management including SAAS portal management
- Responsible for chairing regular account performance review with Oracle to ensure the platform is fit for purpose
- Proactively owning the resolution of technical issues and problems, through focussed, effective problem management, and by delivering preventative support initiatives
- Providing 3rd Line Support to the Service Management team during major incidents
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
What you’ll need to bring to this Oracle HCM Support Analyst role…
- Significant experience and understanding in the Oracle Platform, specifically HCM and Approval Workflows
- 3 years min. of experience supporting UK Oracle payrolls
- 3 years min. of supporting Core HR, Absence Management and Payroll modules
- Experience with 3rd party time and attendance system interfacing to payroll
- Proficient with Oracle Tools: APEX, OTBI.
- Strong skills in SQL & PL for DB management and report generation
- BI Publisher
- Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience resolving technical problems and communicating with business users
- Approachable style with a passion for continuously improving systems
- Knowledge of IT systems and processes for supporting them
- A strong understanding of business applications and prevailing technologies, including some of the following:
