The role of the Technical Sales Advisor – Construction Products & Building Supplies will involve:
- Internally based technical sales advisor position selling a distributed range of construction products such as: concrete repair, waterproofing, screeding, joint filling, grouts & anchors, sealants, protective coating etc.
- The majority of your time will be spent selling to builders merchants such as: Keyline, Travis Perkins, Buildbase and Jewson.
- The remaining portion of your time will be spent selling to main contractors, sub-contractors and specialist contractors.
- Inheriting circa 115-20 spending accounts that need day to day management.
- Will have other responsibilities for example supporting in the warehouse when needed.
- Will be expected to generate new business however this will be predominantly with existing accounts.
The ideal applicant will be a Technical Sales Advisor – Construction Products & Building Supplies with:
- Ideally be in an internal sales, trade counter, customer service role currently in the building trade.
- Would suit someone working within a merchants/distributors such as Jewson, Travis Perkins, Keyline, Buildbase, Selco etc as a trade counter sales person.
- Ideally will have strong account management skills.
- Must be able to build relationships and break down doors.
- Enthusiastic.
