The role of the Area Sales Manager – Wood Flooring and Laminate will involve:
- Field sales role selling our clients distributed range of laminate, engineered hardwood flooring and SPC flooring
- 60% of your time focused on on-boarding a select number of flooring retail showrooms to work with our client on an exclusive basis
- Ultimately building up the retail partnerships from a handful to 50+
- 40% of your time stimulating demand for the product via trade flooring installers
- Changing the perception of business by the general public
- Responsible for the South with a turnover of circa £2.5m (although 50% of this revenue will be managed by head office in respect of the existing accessories portfolio)
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Wood Flooring and Laminate with:
- Ideally sold wood flooring or laminate
- Must have sold into retail showrooms and ideally flooring installers
- Ability to hit the ground running
- No journeymen/leaflet dropper
- Tonnes of hunger, energy and enthusiasm
- New business tenacity
- Network of contacts within existing flooring retailers/shops may be advantageous
- Knows and understands the market
