The role of the Internal Sales – Timber Products will involve:
- Internal sales role, selling a manufactured range of timber products including fencing, gates, site hoarding, timber frame, fence panels etc.
- Selling into timber merchants, builders merchants, roofing merchants, main contractors, joinery manufacturers and large industrial end users.
- Predominantly dealing with inbound traffic via telephone and email.
- Generating and sending off quotations for clients.
- Accessing dedicated customer bases encouraging repeat business.
- Reactivating lapsed accounts promoting new product ranges.
- Cross selling and upselling the product range.
- Aiming to increase average order value.
- Supporting the external and internal sales teams where possible.
The ideal applicant will be an Internal Sales – Timber Products with:
- Must have sales experience within construction.
- Ideally have experience selling timber; however, would consider experience selling building products as a whole.
- Ideally an understanding of timber including different types, treatments, use case etc.
- Comfortable managing existing customers whilst generating new business.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with buyers within timber manufacturers.
- Must be confident on the phone and able to cold call.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to convey technical information.
- Computer literate.
