The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Façade Glazing & Curtain Walling will involve:
- Field sales position, promoting a manufactured range of aluminium systems (façade systems, curtain walling and aluminium doors & windows).
- 90% of your time selling into London architectural practices, assisting with proposals and specifications, providing information etc. whilst also managing (10% of your time) main contractor relationships to protect the specifications.
- 100’s of architectural practices to target.
- Inheriting an area with a project bank of circa £15m.
- Tasked with achieving £2-3m sales in the next full sales year (as well growing the project bank by approx. £10m).
- Average order value to our client (metal) £200,000-£1m (Projects sizes up to £20m).
- Access to a healthy volume of inbound enquiries.
- Typical projects include unit factories, small developments; our client is hoping this person can target larger projects within education, high rise residential, commercial office, healthcare and education.
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Façade Glazing & Curtain Walling with:
- Ideally field sales experience within an aluminium system house or design/ estimating experience within the aluminium market.
- Contacts within architectural practices is the key.
- Also open to any glazing, fenestration or curtain wall sales experience either through specification to architects and main contractors.
- Roofing, cladding, rainscreen and façade backgrounds may all be of interest.
- Open to both field sales and sales estimating experience.
- Hungry new business attitude.
- Technical aptitude although full training will be provided.
- IT literate, CRM proficient.
- Specific knowledge of curtain walling and aluminium doors & windows is not essential but may be useful.
- Ability to sell on quality over price.
