Responsibilities
- Sales role focused on the purchase and hire of timber, aluminium, and plastic bog mats – including crane, Ekki, digger/excavator, temporary, rig, and access mats
- Targeting main contractors, specialist sub-contractors, groundwork contractors, and infrastructure businesses
- The role will be a mix of account management and new business with a focus on increasing business through Tier 1 contractors like BAM, Kier & Laing O’Rourke
- Dealing with inbound sales enquiries via telephone and email
- Setting up meetings with clients predominantly over Teams but there will be occasional client visits
- Processing sales orders, generating quotations and following up with clients
- Negotiate and build strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Working on projects ranging in value from £1k up to £1m
Ideal Candidate
- Must have sales experience with a contractor route to market
- Ideally selling aligned product ranges to bog mats and crane mats such as: construction, infrastructure, plant hire, piling and machinery rental markets
- Previous experience of selling to construction sites
- Strong relationship building skills
- Stable career background, no job hoppers
- Motivated, keen to learn, hungry and autonomous
