The role of the Area Sales Manager Showers, Bathrooms and Plumbing & Heating will involve:
- Field sales position, selling our clients designed and manufactured mid-upper range of shower enclosures, shower panels, walk-ins, wet room systems and shower trays.
- Responsible for circa 700 active customers, split approx. 30% plumbing & heating merchants (with a bathroom showroom) and 70% retail bathrooms showrooms.
- Inheriting an area achieving £2m turnover, currently 30% account management, 70% focus on low or zero spending accounts, hence you will spend more time with plumbing & heating merchants as our clients see this as the growth area.
- Working in a buddy system with a Retail Support Manager who focuses on display visits, technical enquiries and lower level accounts such as the national agreement with City Plumbing, UKPS etc.
- Also responsible for managing Barwick Bathroom Distribution, Dell Factor Distribution and Claygates ASMs and the customers they supply.
- Assisting with stock deals, working on promotions, buying policy, marketing and maximising possible stockholdings and revenues.
- Reporting on CRM system.
The ideal applicant will be a Key Account Manager Showers, Bathrooms and Plumbing & Heating with:
- Must have sold to plumbing & heating merchants and/or retail bathrooms showrooms or buying group members.
- Proven field sales track record in new business/hunter mentality.
- Specific showering product knowledge is not essential as full product training will be provided.
- KBB, bathroom and/or plumbing & heating product industry knowledge is required.
- Outgoing team player.
- Autonomous and able to hit the ground running.
- Dynamic/energetic approach.
- Must be prepared to put in the hours.
