The role of the Estimator Curtain Walling will involve:
- Producing estimates for a high end manufactured range of architectural glazing systems such as aluminium windows and doors, curtain walling, glazing, and rainscreen cladding
- Reviewing tender documents and producing high quality tender returns
- Utilising specialist estimating software to determine material costs
- Negotiating prices with supply chain and gathering quotations for projects
- Liaising and building relationships with main contractors throughout the project and beyond
- Ensuring that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
- Prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are met
The ideal applicant will have:
- Estimating experience within the building envelope market sector
- Good technical knowledge of the façade industry (curtain walling, windows and doors, glazing, and rainscreen)
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- IT literacy, ideally familiar with estimating software like Schueco and Logikal
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- A proactive and motivated approach with strong commercial awareness
