The role of the National Sales Representative Heavy Plant Hire and Cranes will involve:
- Field sales role selling the hire of crawler cranes, piling equipment and trench shoring systems
- Targeting main contractors, specialist sub contractors, ground workers, sub contractors and infrastructure businesses
- 50% new business development, 50% account managing existing customers
- Providing regular sales updates to the Sales Manager and forecasted sales utilising the CRM system
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Negotiate and build strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Attending trade exhibitions as and when required
Typical weekly rental rates; cranes £1k - £4k & piling rigs £4k - £10k
The ideal applicant will be a National Sales Representative Heavy Plant Hire and Cranes with:
- Proven field sales experience within the heavy plant or machinery hire industry
- Ideally will have experience with crane hire and piling equipment
- Previous experience of selling to construction sites
- Open to related products such as; formwork, mobile cranes, falsework, diggers, dumpers, forklifts, excavators, platforms, trucks, mast climbers etc
- Strong relationship building skills
- Motivated, keen to learn, hungry and autonomous
