Area to be covered: North and West of London: AL, EN, HA, HP, LU, MK, N, NN, NW, OX, SG, WD
Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 Neg. + up to £8,000 Commission plus Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products will involve:
This role is for temporary maternity cover 12 month contract
Field sales role selling a full range of manufactured floor coverings / carpet tiles
Promoting multi-loop and low level loop carpet tiles as well as some ranges of FRS (full repeatable scroll)
This is a transactional field sales role, with the majority of your time selling into flooring contractors (65%)
Remainder of time selling into architects and interior designers (A&D), but also: fit-out contractors, property developers, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management, local authorities and main contractors
Inheriting an area with a turnover of approx. £1m
New business position, although there will be a healthy project bank to inherit
Targeting commercial buildings such as office blocks as well as the education sector: schools, universities & colleges and a small amount of healthcare
Utilising ABI leads and in-house CRM database
Project sizes from 500m2, typically £10,000 upwards project value
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Flooring & Interior Products with:
Must have a proven field sales track record, ideally selling into flooring contractors
Flooring/ carpet industry backgrounds preferred
Open to other interior products such as: wall coverings, fabric, ceiling, partitioning or furniture
Contacts within fit-out contractors, universities, colleges, end users, building surveyors, letting agents, estate management and local authorities are not essential
Specification sales experience with architects and interior designers (A&D) may be useful xiskglj but not essential
Tactile sales background rather that technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related
Some knowledge of how sustainability is driving both the construction and interior market would be beneficial.
